IUS students attend the "17th National Psychology Students Congress"

17th National Psychology Students Congress has been organized between July 11-14 at Okan University by Turk Psychologist Association (TPD) and Study Group of Turkish Psychology Students (TPÖÇG). The aim of the Congress was to bring together those who study at Psychology Departments in Turkey and Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (KKTC), and those who are interested in Psychology as well as to exchange ideas in the field of social and academic.

Students of International University of Sarajevo have expressed that the aim can be beyond the borders of Turkey and KKTC to include participants from IUS and their presentations. As a result of the evaluation meeting after Congress, IUS students who have participated to Congress want to make this Congress International to have a wider vision. The students have also emphasized that IUS is capable of hosting for such a Congress, and has capacity for it.

Quite a number of academicians and students have participated in "Masks: Me and Our" Congress. The congress consist of four stages; lecturers conferences, panels, student project presentations and poster presentations.

The project of our distinguished students, "Relationship with Finger Size between Aggression and Impulsivity" , has been chosen from among thousands of presentations, and presented by Mehmet Yasir CEBECI, Halime KARAYEL, Sumeyye AKKOYUN, Zeynep Esra ALP.

Our students expressed their emotions after Congress, thus "Such an event was the first for IUS Psychology students since its establishment, and it encouraged us. We were chosen to present this project which has been selected from among thousands of projects; it was the first for us. Also, it is like a proof to be handling social activities besides classes. We hope that we can realize many more projects in Europe and Turkey with other friends at IUS in the following semesters - this is our target. We believe that it could be much better with the support of IUS, but the biggest truth is that we have to have our own struggles and interests, curiosities. We hope such projects will continue in the future on behalf of IUS"
