Assist. Prof. Dr. Nina Bosankić of Psychology Program at faculty of Arts and Social Science (FASS), published a book titled “Psychosocial Aspects of Niqab Wearing: Religion, Nationalism and Identity in Bosnia and Herzegovina”. The book is published by Palgrave McMillan (Palgrave Pivot). In this book, Dr. Bosankić talks about why women choice to wear the niqab or full face veil is controversial both within and outside of Islam. She interviewed young Muslim women, from a variety of backgrounds in post-conflict Bosnia and Herzegovina, to uncover the social and psychological factors influencing their choice. IUS would like to congratulate Dr. Bosankić for outstanding work that led to this particular book.
