The aim of IUS psychology doctoral studies is to train and enable psychologists for the most complex scientific research and professional activities, independent scientific work as well as academic and professional career.
Doctoral program offers an opportunity to acquire advanced knowledge in the field of psychology, such as the methodology of psychological research, cognitive psychology, social psychology, psychology of lifelong development, clinical and counseling psychology, and work and organizational psychology. Candidates have required subjects in the field of research methods and ethical issues, as well as electives in the field of their own interest, which are closely related to the area of research within the framework of their doctoral dissertation.
Emphasis is placed on rigorous work with a mentor who is focused on specific scientific area of interest of the student. The candidate is expected to publish results of his/her research in scientific journals, as well as in national and international scientific conferences. Ph.D. candidates will have the opportunity, under the supervision of professors, to participate in teaching the first and second cycle studies. In this way, IUS will provide the additional possibility to PhD students to strengthen their scientific and research competencies and skills.
